the chronicles of the immortal warrior
1. The Resistance
In the world of Kartha, fallen gods and the fey walk among the mortals, as do the Immortals. The most powerful of the Immortals is a legendary figure known as the Immortal Warrior whose exploits are known throughout the world. Godslayer, kingmaker, demon, protector of humankind, there’s no title that hasn’t been assigned to her but as for Kyra herself, she doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal. In fact, lately, Kyra’s been questioning what she’s doing all of this for since the mortals seem to be more fearful of her than ever. Then, the Council, the leaders of the Society, the Immortal institute that she belongs to send her on a mission to eliminate a dangerous organization called the Resistance. The only catch is that she has to bring a group of mortal bounty hunters along with her. As the five of them travel across the Mainland, fighting off bandits and fey along the way, Kyra’s story comes out bit by bit. As she reexamines her history, Kyra grapples with the one question that continues to plague her, is she a protector or a destroyer? When they finally reach their destination, Kyra discovers that things are rarely as simple as they first appear to be. Who can she trust and should she even have faith in herself? 2. The Black Knight
Kyra returns to her hometown in Albion three hundred years after being turned into an immortal to find it burned to the ground by the Black Knight. So Kyra sets off to find out more about this powerful thief lord who rose to power amidst the breakdown of central authority following the death of the last king. She meets and joins up with a band of adventurers including a noble Arthur, who turns out to be the rightful heir of the dead king. After convincing Arthur he is the true king, Merlin the mage accompanies them to see the Lords of the Land who meet to decide the fate of the country. Meanwhile, the Black Knight uses this opportunity to attack. All of the companions must use their skills to defend the land but the Black Knight may not be who he appears to be. 3. The Olympians
In the world of Kartha, the Achaean peninsula is the only area where the gods still hold sway and the fey roam. However, the Olympians are not happy with their position and they hatch a plan to spread their influence once again. Caught in the middle is a young Spartan princess named Helen who runs away from home to escape the clutches of suitors Paris and Menelaus. With the gods manipulation, this triggers a full blown war between the Greeks and Trojans. What they don’t know is Kyra, the Immortal Warrior has arrived in Achaea with her friend Alysa Stronghammer, a master smith. The Oracle of Delphi, also known as Pythia, directs them to go to Athens where they meet Helen and her twin brothers. The group heads toward Troy to try to stop the war. In the meantime, Heracles returns to Delphi and he and Pythia head toward Troy as well. The two groups meet up in the Amazonian forest and both Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazons and Atalanta the huntress join them. The band makes their way north and save a young noble named Jason and join his quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece. When they finally arrive at Troy, they discover that the wayward gods must be defeated to ensure the safety of Achaea. |
